LGfL's SafeguardED team are looking at organising and facilitating a forum for DSLs who work in SEND schools, or in schools with a high proportion of pupils with SEND.
This forum would be free for any LGfL school DSLs to attend and would provide an opportunity for you to network and explore safeguarding themes that are prevalent and sometimes challenging when working with pupils with SEND. The conversations will be focused on practical support, with an opportunity to exchange good practice (e.g. policies, forms, information etc.) and challenges across settings.
SafeguardED team member Alex, worked in SEND settings for over a decade as a DSL and so has lots of experience and interest in this area. Within LGfL we also have our IncludED service, who we will bring into this forum for expertise too.
